Welsh rock band “The Roseville band” are about to release their 3rd album Temper on Canadian label Pipe & Hat. This comes after years of hard work, two studio albums and a growing national, and now international reputation for “explosive, driven Rock’n’Roll”.
The band signed to Pipe & Hat having performed at last summer’s NXNE in Toronto. NXNE is a big date in the North American music calendar alongside SXSW and focuses on showcasing only the finest live music. The band are soon to embark on their own North American tour in June to promote Temper (released worldwide 25th June). Funnily enough, such is the power of the internet that the band actually managed to make an impact with their music across the Atlantic without even realising it. They’d not been aware that tracks from their second album had found their way onto US and Canadian radio. This exposure, combined with a lot of hard work touring the UK and Europe found the band performing across Canada as part of Canadian music week and NXNE, leading to increased recognition from industry bosses.
Their North American tour is being supported by the Arts Council of Wales. It’s nice to see that financial assistance is available for bands willing to put in the hours (despite a soulless, artless UK Tory government, god bless devolution). This is part of the new Music Industry Development Funding Scheme, which aims to strengthen the Welsh music industry through offering support for Welsh musicians to become a part of a sustainable music industry in Wales.
We look forward to hearing the new album from the Roseville Band which we will feature when it is released. Keep an eye on Fanbased and the band’s own website for details of the tour.
