Manics Recording 2 New Albums

Speaking to the Daily Star, the Manic Street Preachers have announced they are recording two new albums. James Dean Bradfield said “We’ve virtually finished the first, which is acoustic.” It also features the Brit Award Best Male Artist Nominee & Mercury Prize shortlisted Richard Hawley. The second album of the two is apparently more aggressive and experimental, which we’re rather pleased to hear.

The Manics have been steadily getting their mojo back with “Journal for plague lovers” and “Postcards from a young man” keeping long time fans happy while exciting music critics. Postcards was released back in 2010, I think everyone assumed it would be their last, but we should have known they’d be back

Having grown up in a small welsh town loving the Manics, I’m looking forward to these new releases. I know lots of people don’t like them or used to like them but think they lost it after Everything Must Go (I happen to love This is my truth… by the way). I think every album had it’s great moments, I think others were unrecognised masterpieces. I’m bias, but it’s musical taste so it’s impossible not to be.
